Barbara Kaufman was selected as the 2018 first quarter “Volunteer of the Quarter.” She began volunteering with East Cooper Meals on Wheels in 2015 as a substitute Pastry Volunteer. Since then, Barbara has become a routine Pastry Volunteer as well as Event Volunteer. Plus, she picks up Starbucks treats for the volunteers every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
When asked what she enjoys the most about volunteering at East Cooper Meals on Wheels,
Barbara says, “Being around people who love helping others! It fills my heart every week just being here.
She continued, “I choose to volunteer at ECMOW because I like being part of an organization that is so well supported by the community it can provide daily meals to people without a fee & without a waiting list.”
